The Wayne Ave. Corridor group is looking for local artists to help paint a series of ten murals under the train overpass at the Fourth Street and Wayne Avenue intersection. The project will use art to enliven the overpass and help create a more attractive walkway between the Cannery and Oregon Arts District. If you’re interested, more info (including submission guidelines, etc.) is available here. The deadline for submissions is September 4th.
The Wayne Ave. Mural Project isn’t the only upcoming opportunity to display your artistic talent. Submissions are also being accepted for Creative Soul of Dayton, a community art exhibition that will be held Oct. 2-Nov. 6 in the Oregon Arts District.
