The 2009 GDAA Hermes Awards were held on Saturday February 21st, at the beautiful Schuster Performing Arts Center in the middle of downtown Dayton. The night began with hors d'oeuvres and a display of winning pieces in the Mathile Room. Dinner and the show followed shortly after. The whole set up of the event was amazing. The theme was "It's your baby" with little details of having a baby. The Hermes heads were even wrapped up like babies. The competition was strong, there were many incredible different varieties of art that competed for the infamous Hermes Head. Hafenbrack Marketing swept the floor with several Hermes as Real Art closely followed behind. DCS was also honored with Bronze awards for our Wilbur and Orville Wright announcement email, and for the DCS Identity. Rob Anspach gave a speech to represent DCS and encourage people to get involved. After all the Hermes Heads were delivered, the show ended with an after party following. It was a great night and many great people. We hope to have as much fun next year.
